Grace's Team -- Michelle Gill |

Thank you for visiting my Cupid's Undie Run fundraising page! I am running in my undies in the freezing cold because we are in a race to cure NF. I am running in honor of my daughter Grace. Grace was diagnosed with an optic glioma, a type of brain tumor, at age 5. She spent the last 14 months enduring chemo therapy to stop this fast growing tumor. Our lives were thrown for a huge loop, and there were days that I wasn't sure how we would ever get through it all. But with the amazing support of friends and family and so many strangers that came forward to help her through that difficult year, we made it. She endured a lot, but has conquered so much. She is stronger, happier and spunkier than ever. And she still finds it hysterical that I will be running in public in my underwear for the second time! Every day I am reminded of something that someone has done to make her life better. I will never be able to say Thank You enough for all the kindness. There are no words to explain the fear, the anxiety when you learn your child has a life threatening illness. When you feel like there is nothing left you can do, you find ways to make the future better. Running in the Cupid's Undie Run last year gave us hope. Seeing the amazing outpouring of support made us believe there is a better future. This hurdle we have conquered. We hope beyond all hope that this is all we will ever deal with, but that is not often the case with NF. Our lives are dedicated to finding better cures and treatments for NF, and for someday, a cure. This one race is such an amazing way to make that happen. Please help in our cause. I believe we can do it! And for the millions of NF families around the world, I sincerely thank you for your help.
If I am willing to get out there in the middle of winter in my undies and make this bold move for such a worthy cause, I hope that you can spare a few dollars to contribute.
Whether it be $5 or $500, every last donation to the Children's Tumor Foundation is appreciated, tax-deductible and goes a long way.
Just think - one donation could be equal to one night out to dinner, one movie with a friend, or your morning coffee. Save a life instead...
The Children's Tumor Foundation is the world's largest non-government organization dedicated to ending Neurofibromatosis (NF) through research. NF is a genetic disorder, usually manifesting during adolescence, that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, causing blindness, deafness, learning disabilities and severe chronic pain. Currently, there is no cure for NF and there are frighteningly few treatment options.
