Thank you for visiting my Cupid's Undie Run fundraising page.
I will be stripping to my skivvies and running around in the frigid temps this February, all in an effort to raise funds so kids like my daughter, Christine can grow up happy and healthy.
Christine
was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) at nine years old and lives with several tumors in her brain, arm and leg. She has already had 4 surgeries and unfortunately, will have to endure many more. There is no cure and no effective treatment for NF2.
Christine, like many thirteen-year-olds, loves listening to music on her ipod which goes with her everywhere... including countless doctor appointments and every MRI she must undergo. However, one day she may not be able to enjoy her music because one of the eventualities of NF2 is hearing loss.
I am running in my undies in the freezing cold because we are in a race to cure NF. I believe we can do it! And for Christine and the millions of NF families around the world, I sincerely thank you for your help.
If I am willing to get out there in the middle of winter in my undies and make this bold move for such a worthy cause, I hope that you can spare a few dollars to contribute.
Whether it be $5 or $500, every last donation to the Children's Tumor Foundation is appreciated, tax-deductible and goes a long way.
Just think - one donation could be equal to one night out to dinner, one movie with a friend, or your morning coffee. Save a life instead...
The Children's Tumor Foundation is the world's largest non-government organization dedicated to ending Neurofibromatosis (NF) through research. NF is a genetic disorder, usually manifesting during adolescence, that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, causing blindness, deafness, learning disabilities and severe chronic pain. Currently, there is no cure for NF and there are frighteningly few treatment options.
Goal: $7,000 $8,975 raised so far,
CONGRATULATIONS!
