Team Ian -- Jennifer Antonaccio

Thank you for visiting my Cupid's Undie Run fundraising page! 
 
Mike and I will be running  around New York City  in the frigid temps this February, all in an effort to raise funds so children like our son Ian can grow up happy and healthy.
 
As some of you may know,  our Ian was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis (NF1) at five months old.  Although what lies ahead for us and NF is uncertain, we remain positive and are hopeful that NF will not define his future. We have been very busy over the last few months visiting with a multitude of doctors that have all agreed that Ian is a strong and happy young boy who at this time, simply displays several cafe au lait spots.  As a result, we have not been able to talk to all of our loved ones individually about Ian's condition, but we are as committed to his health and well being and we know you are.  We, along with so many other families, remain hopeful that with increased awareness, we will help find a cure for NF! 
 
We are running in the freezing cold because we are in a race to cure NF.  We believe we can do it!  And for the millions of other  NF families just like us, we sincerely thank you for your help, support and love.

The Children's Tumor Foundation is the world's largest non-government organization dedicated to ending Neurofibromatosis (NF) through research. NF is a genetic disorder, usually manifesting during adolescence, that can cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body, causing blindness, deafness, learning disabilities and severe chronic pain. Currently, there is no cure for NF and there are frighteningly few treatment options.
